Job Summary:
As an Onsite Project Engineer, you will deliver technical expertise and play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA/Automation systems directly with our customer. You will collaborate with our client to create efficient, secure, and intuitive solutions for monitoring and controlling their operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain SCADA systems to monitor and control customer processes.
Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications for effective system visualization.
Integrate SCADA systems with field devices like PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and actuators.
Configure and manage communication protocols, including Modbus, DNP3, and OPC.
Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard SCADA systems.
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations and manuals.
Provide training and technical support to end-users and maintenance teams.
Participate in system upgrades, expansions, and modernization projects.
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in SCADA system design, implementation, and maintenance.
Proficiency in SCADA software platforms (Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX, etc.).
Familiarity with networking technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, and wireless protocols).
Experience with substation RTUs, IO devices, and IEDs.
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols like MODBUS and DNP.
Programming or scripting experience (VB6, VBA, SQL, Python) is highly desirable.
Basic experience with relay programming (e.g., SEL, ABB, Basler).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven.
Preferred Skills:
Utility industry experience (1-3 years) with SCADA projects.
Experience managing communication protocols and troubleshooting hardware.
Familiarity with ICCP and HMI/SCADA Master systems.
Project management skills, including scoping, scheduling, and tracking.
